LA - Brussels - Rotterdam
Hey all, well here i am, back in Holland. For a week now. Thought i've forgotten 'boutcha ;) ... NEVER!
Anyways, a lot's been going on this month. I went home to sunny CA, spent 2 most amazing weeks there with my boy, friends, and family, and just had an overall relevation about life in general. ( I'll get to that later... trust me ITS DEEP! haha)
Then i flew back here, had a pitstop in Brussels ( took away from enjoying the city since i was sad, tired, and it was raining too), and now i'm in my lovely Rotterdam appartment fighting a loosing battle with finals. Ughh...

So back to LA...
THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME! THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME! THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME! - humm.... not working. Guess I don't have my rubby red slippers on.

Ohh the sun, the warmth, my CAR, home cooked meals, BOYFRIEND, FRIENDS, did i mention CAR???

I was just so shellshocked when I returned home. It was so different from living alone in the DAMN COLD! ... The first day back i walked around my neighborhood for over 2 hrs just marveling at how beautiful LA is. Sure there are gay people on SM, and bumbs on Sunset, and nasty looser old guys whistling, and traffic, and... AND it's deff. not europe. No pretty architecture ( although there isn't any in Rotterdam either) and people dress like crap, Still, LA is home. You really take it for granted when you have it... but once its gone... you want to get it back more than anything.

I love LA for it's uniqness, it's diversity, it's WE-HO RUSSIANS! ... every corner, store, street, bench, park, and restaurant has a memory. I'll never leave it. I'm an LA girl all the way!!

So it was a total bitch to pack my things and leave. Saying goodbye was so hard. It was hard last time too... but it felt worse this time. I guess it's because i knew what to expect upon return. All that was waiting for me was an empty appartment, possibly a dead plant, and finals. Sux doesn't it?!

Brussels is very pretty. Sucked that it was raining when i got there though. It was so sweet of Ella, Elizabeth, and her friend to meet me there that morning. It was nice not to be alone in a city. We walked around ALOT... and saw mostly everything there is to see in Brussels. Saw the EU parliment, saw the center, and even saw the statue of the little boy peeing ))

OK... apperantly, there's a statue of this little boy with his penis sticking out. Once a year they have some sort of celebration and they wire the boy to pee out BEER! and people stand around singing songs and drink the beer he peed out lol... DAMN THOSE BELGIANS! ... It just so happened that the day they had the ceremony we were there. LUCKY US!

NO I DIDNT DRINK THE BEER, but i enjoyed the site.
OK For the record, i did not eat McDonalds! But thought this was great ))

So here I am, in Rotterdam... bored out of my mind. I had one part of a final last friday, have 3 papers due by wednesday, have another final on this coming friday, and then 3 more finals the following week. I swear people... i have NEVER studied this much in my life!!!
I realized what the system is... People PARTY HARD and then they STUDY HARD! It's just us lazy Americans that want to study a little and party a little. Huh... haven't decided which is better yet ;)
Come April, I'm off to ITALY then Greece. and In May I get to go home again for GRADUATION!!! WOO HOOO!!!
So this is it i guess...
All alone here, studying. Yey... how exciting. ( sence the sarcasm??)
WISH me luck... because i'll need it HAHA!
PS: Happy late St. Patty's!! Hope you partied it up more than i did. International Investment and Trade textbook wasn't up for going out for a beer. ((
